MY REFLECTION

On the 8th of September we had a amazing visit from room 27. To celebrate national literacy day. We had a buddy each and taught them how to make monster bookmark. My buddy was eden and it was fun to do.

My Reflection

In our poster we used a rhetorical question, subheadings, pictures,

 adjectives and adverbs, bossy verbs (Imperatives), a slogan, not too much detail. but enough to sell camp. We also used bold/eye catching words and letters. We are all proud of the work we did. 

Bike Skills

 MY REFLECTION

On Wednesdays we go to bike skills. There we learn to do different skills. My favourite skill is scooting.

I enjoy bike riding in my own time.

Next time I will focus on riding straight.

My score is going up and down but mostly up
Most of the time I go down is because I have been tired
and been traveling mostly every weekend so I am going to

I am proud of getting most of my Questions right I need to practice on getting my basic facts down faster and to get a bigger score over 85 by the end of the term.

I am proud of this terms basic facts I have reached my goal but some how my graph is not showing next term I would like to get 100 I know need to practise in my own time more.

I have been learning to multiply fractions I have found it tricky to understand and solve this problem I had to x 6 and 4 and then+ the 1and put it into the right box to  Next I would like to learn how to do this using bigger numbers.

   MY REFLECTION

I was learning to use different paint skills in this Art activity. I found the drag quite hard to do because when you put the dark medium and light paint on it stays really light so you have to put on a lot of dark. I would like to improve on my grass by using different card next time.

Kiwi Kids News Summary

MY REFLECTION

I was learning to summarise a news item off Kiwi Kids News. To do this I needed to read the text and change the difficult words in to ones I understood. I then had to write the story in my own words and only choose the important parts. My teacher asked me to try a new website called Narrable to voice record my summary. I enjoyed using this website for the first time and working out how to use it.

My Reflection

In this activity we had to replace the letters with digits I found this simple because I was just using what number knowledge I knew. I used this to work out what each digit could be and what it couldn't be. I used the problem solving skill of trial and improvement mostly.

Which Script?

MY REFLECTION

In this activity it was quite hard but once I did two rows it got easy. The idea was to sort out the numbers into 5 different languages and then write 51 in each language. We used our knowledge of place value to work this out.

This was fun to do but was a challenge and like they say If you practise the right things it will become perfect.

I found this maths activity simple because I know that the symbols 

are 123456789 because they all are one symbol.And The last number 100

would be 3 symbols.

In this photo we are just about to leave the best camp ever . My favourite activity was Body Boarding.

We also learnt what to do when we are caught in a rip.

Next time I am going to try and body surfing which is swimming with the wave.

Reflection 

I am proud of what strategies I have used. The strategy I use best is place value partitioning. I would like to learn about Algorithm more. My teacher can help me with this.

because It was about me and I should know about myself. I liked this because it represents me. Next time I need to find other words for 'like' and to make my poem longer.
